Tina Kays Obituary

Tina Kays, 66, of Glens Falls, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Tina grew up in Lake Luzerne and eventually made her home in Glens Falls, where she spent the remainder of her life.

Tina's life was not without challenges, but through them she demonstrated perseverance, strength, and resilience. She was a woman who found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time in her garden, caring for flowers and plants, and took pride in creating beautiful spaces around her home. She enjoyed discovering and trying new recipes, always eager to find something delicious to share. A leisurely car ride with no particular destination and a quiet game of solitaire were among the simple things that brought her comfort and happiness.

Tina leaves behind her daughters, Danielle Sothard (Sean) and Kristin Higgins; her granddaughters, Teyler, Ari, and Brinley and her sisters, Tamara and Jody Dingman. In addition to many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved Aunt Elaine, and her siblings, James Richards and Lori Sanders.

Tina will be remembered in countless ways—through shared memories, family traditions, favorite recipes, and the quiet moments that remind us of her presence.

In her final days, Tina was cared for with compassion and dignity by a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Her daughters and grandaughters remained by her side, ensuring she was never alone and that she felt the comfort of their love.

We extend our gratitude to the nurses, physicians, and palliative care team whose kindness and support brought comfort to our mom during her final days. Their care extended far beyond medicine, bringing comfort, dignity, and peace to us all. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to support their work, helping them continue to provide comfort and care to patients and families during life's most difficult moments.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Lisa, Misty, and Cassie for the love, care, and support they provided to our mom while she was at home. From grocery shopping and housekeeping to accompanying her to doctor's appointments and ensuring her safety and well-being, your kindness and dedication brought comfort not only to our mom, but to us as well. Your care and compassion will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.

Though we say goodbye with heavy hearts, we take comfort in knowing that our mom's suffering has ended and that she is now at peace. Her love, memories, and spirit will remain with us always.

In keeping with Tina's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.
