Indian Lake
Thomas Frank Gallagher, 74, of Pratt Rd., passed away Wednesday evening, October 29, 2025, at the home of his daughter.
Born on October 23, 1951, in Woodbury, NJ he was the son of the late John P. and Madgeline (Castine) Gallagher.
Thomas had worked as a taxidermist in Mantua, NJ and later worked as a self-employed contractor for many years. He purchased a seasonal home in Indian Lake in 1984. He worked for Chimney Mountain Craftsman and Barton Mines/. He was then self-employed in the construction field with his friend Bob Gundel. He was a member of the Nasty Boys of Indian Lake, known as Tommy “Galigator”.
He was a single dad that cherished spending time with family and friends. He loved gardening, sharing what he grew, the outdoors, feeding his birds, hunting, archery, fishing, boating, and water skiing.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Renee Ann Gallagher, as well as siblings: George Gallagher, Jenny Gallagher, Katherine “Sissy” Carpenter, Leonard Gallagher, James Gallagher, Lindley Gallagher, Elwood “Raymond” Gallagher, William Billy” Gallagher, Emma Smogy, Lillian “Lily” Coles, Johnny Gallagher and his beloved cousin, Patrick Gallagher.
Survivors include one daughter, April Gallagher of Indian Lake; three grandchildren: Tyler Gallagher, Ariana Rivera, and Emma Sue Gallagher; siblings: Mary Ramer, Mildred Gambogi, Edna May Nolte, Bernard “Duke” Gallagher, Charles Gallagher, Joseph Gallagher; numerous nieces and nephews and his good friends, Dale Seery and Paul Szczesniak.
There are no calling hours of funeral services scheduled.
