Suzanne Chandler Obituary

Suzanne Rosamond (Dunn) Chandler was welcomed into the arms of the Savior on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.  Suzanne left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and a cherished aunt, sister, and friend.

Suzanne was born on April 13, 1940, in Corinth, New York. She was the daughter of Rodney J. Dunn and Amelia M. Pekurney. She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Preston Chandler, as well as her sister, Joyce Rowland and brother-in-law Gary Rowland, and her brother Ronald J. Dunn.  She is also predeceased by one grandchild, Jerid Preston Chandler. Additionally, she is predeceased by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and cousins.

Suzanne is survived by her six children: Wendy Korznat (Tom), Vicki Carpenter (Jim), Mark Chandler (Cindy), Lisa Frinton (Rick), Brian Chandler (Rich), and Craig Chandler (Jeannine), as well as son-in-law Dick Bosford. She shared a special bond of sisterhood with surviving sisters-in-law Paula Dunn, Jean Chandler, Pearl Chandler, and Cathy Chandler. She is also survived by many, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was a champion for her grandchildren: Joshua Chandler, Daniel Bosford (Crystal), Dean Bosford (Maria), Jeremy Chandler (Melanie), Eric Stephenson (Samantha), Michelle Barrios (Adam), Erin Kapp (Shannon), Sara Lenon (Shane), Gregory Stephenson (Kyrea), Dillon Frinton (Kate), Kathryn Frinton (Ryan), Olivia Chandler (Roberto), and Ella Suzanne Chandler. She was adored by her great-grandchildren: Gray, Bugg, Alex, Greg, Lucas, Reese, Jaxon, Kyler, Khristian, Ethan, Alyssa, Kamden, Bentley, and her “bright light” Noah.

Beyond blood, Suzanne’s love extended to in-laws, friends, neighbors, and over twenty foster children. Especially in her later years, Suzanne enjoyed her walks with her neighbor, Jeanne.

Suzanne lived life such that if you met her, you met Jesus Christ. She loved unconditionally and extended grace in a way that made people feel truly loved. She expressed her love by sending  homemade cards, knitting, sewing, baking, or sometimes just through a phone call to let someone know she cared and that she was praying for them.

As a result, during her short time in the hospital, she was visited by over 100 people! Those people whose lives she touched were changed for the better, and her family appreciates them letting her know how much her presence meant in their lives.

Suzanne loved her church family deeply. She served faithfully at the First Baptist Church of Corinth for as many as 70 years, and her presence there was a steady source of warmth, encouragement, and quiet devotion. She was a beloved Sunday School teacher to children across more than three generations. The congregation will miss her gentle spirit, her genuine love for people, and the way she made everyone feel seen, cared for, and valued. She was a special friend and aunt to the families that attended church over the years, and especially cherished her lifetime friendship with the family of Stan and Carol Rayder (her Soul Sister), and Joe and Betty Vaughn along with many other church families. Her legacy of faith will continue to shape the church she so dearly loved.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Saratoga Cardiology. In particular, the family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the nursing staff on D1 and D2 at Saratoga Hospital for showing Suzanne love, respect, and genuine kindness in her last days.

Family and friends may gather on Saturday, June 6 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.at Brewer Funeral Home in Lake Luzerne, NY. Funeral services will be on Sunday, June 7 at 2 p.m., also at Brewer Funeral Home. Christopher Gardner, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Corinth will officiate the celebration of Suzanne's life. Burial will be beside her loving husband at the Corinth Rural Cemetery. Following the burial, family and friends will gather at the First Baptist Church of Corinth to celebrate a life well-lived.
