With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Susan M. Salengo, 67, of Lynch Dr., who passed away peacefully on Friday morning, February 14, 2025, at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on September 19, 1957, in Glens Falls, Susan was the cherished daughter of the late Walter and Marilyn (Fuller) Holcomb. She attended Granville Central School and later pursued her passion for caring for others, earning her LPN from the Capital Region BOCES program.

Susan lived for many years in Middleburgh, NY, before moving to Lake Luzerne to care for her mother. She touched many lives with her warm spirit during her time working at Kastners and Roaring Brook, but her most cherished role was at the Luzerne Market, where she enjoyed seeing and visiting with people in the community, brightening their days.

Susan was a wonderful cook, nurturing those around her with delicious meals. She had an endless love for animals, especially her cats. Known as a social butterfly, Susan easily made friends and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Above all else, her family was her greatest joy. She was immensely proud of her children and cherished every moment with them.

Susan was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Dennis Holcomb.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her children: Nicole (Yong) Salengo Lee of Winters, CA, Justin Salengo of Esperance, and Casey (Courtney) Salengo of Queens; her longtime companion, Will Danforth of Lake Luzerne; her siblings: Debra Goichman, Randy Holcomb, and David Holcomb; her nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart; her adored great-nieces and great-nephew; her cat Evelyn; and her "granddog," Lola, who always made her smile.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Susan's life at a visitation on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from Noon to 2 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne. A continued celebration of Susan's life will follow the visitation at the William J. Varney American Legion, 379 Lake Ave., Lake Luzerne.
