Stanley Robinson, Jr., 72, of Hadley Road, passed away Sunday evening, January 5, 2025, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on June 4, 1952, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Stanley and Theresa (Granger) Robinson, Sr.
Stanley married Melody A. Turner on December 31, 1982, in Glens Falls.
He worked as a truck driver for many years driving for Combs Trucking, Gallo Trucking and Crist Trucking. He also owned and operated Northland Truck Repair and E-Z PICK-IN’S catalog sales. In 2001 he began working as a mechanic at Hadley Luzerne Central School’s bus garage. He retired as head mechanic in 2018.
Stanley enjoyed playing guitar, singing, hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycling, going to garage sales and was always up for a party, especially the family pig roast.
He was past secretary for the Adirondack Riders Motorcycle Club.
He was predeceased by his parents and a grandson, Joshua James Robinson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Melody Robinson; his children: Robert “Scott” Robinson of Kingsland, GA, Jeremy Mark Robinson of Hudson Falls, Katie-Jo (Joe) Fisk of Stony Creek and Harley (Jennifer) Robinson of Hadley; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; one sister, Jean Monroe of Queensbury.
A celebration of Stanley’s life will be held at a later date.
