Shelley L. Argent, 70, of Lake Ave., passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 16, 2024, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on November 24, 1953, in Wood River Township, IL, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Maxine (Brown) Curtis. She was a graduate of Alton Memorial High School in Alton, IL.
Shelley had worked for many years at Olin Brass in East Alton, IL. She moved to Lake Luzerne in 2022 to be closer to her son and his family.
She enjoyed quilting, bird watching, crossword puzzles, shopping, and cherished the time she spent with her granddaughters.
She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Steve Curtis; her former husband, Craig Argent; her longtime companion, Steve Jackson.
Survivors include her son, Craig (Jessica) Argent of Lake Luzerne; two granddaughters, Jemma and Holly Argent; siblings: Lacy Alexander of Harkers Island, NC, Lisa Feltes of Cottage Hills, IL, Chris Curtis of Indianapolis, IN, Mark (Robin) Curtis of Mendenhall, MS, Billy Curtis of Harkers Island, NC; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with Shelley’s wishes, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
