Roland Frey Obituary

Roland C. Frey, age 80, of Hadley Hill Road, died Wednesday
morning, November 9, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 20, 1931 in Brooklyn, he was the son of
Wilhelm and Luisa (Schall) Frey. He was a
graduate of Grover Cleveland High School, Queens.

Roland worked as an industrial arts teacher at Brooklyn
College prior to serving as a corporal in the United States Marie Corps during
the Korean War.

Following his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps,
Roland began his career in the family business, Artype Products in Brooklyn,
which he later owned and operated.

On June 6, 1953 Roland married Agnes V. McAdams in
Queens. They spent many vacations at the
Elms in Lake Luzerne and in 1982 bought a home in Hadley. The moved there permanently in 1986. Agnes died on May 13, 2010 following 56 years
of marriage.

Roland was a school bus driver for the Hadley Luzerne School
District for 20 years prior to his retirement in 2006.

He loved carpentry and had crafted beautiful furniture and
cabinets for family, friends and neighbors.

Roland was a dedicated member of the First United Methodist
Church of Lake Luzerne, the Hadley Senior Citizens, a member of the Free and
Accepted Masonic Granite Lodge and was active in the DeMolay organization,
mentoring many young men.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Agnes; a
daughter, Lisa Speer and a brother, Herbert Frey.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Isenstadt and her
husband Brian of Columbia, MD and Diane Linder and her husband Stuart of
Abingdon, MD; 2 grandchildren, William Lippus and Marc Isenstadt; four great grandchildren,
Brianna, Billy, Abigail and Liam Lippus.

A memorial service will be celebrated 3 p.m. Saturday,
December 3, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church of Lake Luzerne, with the
Rev. Judy Humphrey-Fox, pastor, officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brewer Funeral Home,
Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
