Roger K. Farr, 89, of Spier Falls Rd., passed away Sunday morning, February 7, 2021 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on September 6, 1931 in Corinth, he was the son of the late Irvin and Lillian Irene (Kingsley) Farr. He attended Corinth Schools.
Roger married Virginia “Ginger” Wood on July 1, 1956 in Lake Luzerne. Ginger passed away on March 19, 1995 following 38 years of marriage.
He was employed at International Paper Company in Corinth for 42 years prior to his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of the mill.
Roger enjoyed woodworking, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, hunting and fishing. Above all, he enjoyed time spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Ginger Farr; his siblings: Marjorie Willett and Douglas Farr and son-in-law, Lawrence Keech.
Survivors include his long-time companion, Judy Smith of Greenfield Center who loved him and cared for him tirelessly; his children: Dinah (Randy) Dollinger of Corinth, Beverly (Andrew Malcolm) Vermeulen of Greenfield Center, Nancy (Mike) Feulner of Summerfield, FL, Roger J. Farr of Greenfield Center; Judy’s daughter, Sandy Lavin of Hartford; 11 grandchildren: Billy Wujciak , Nicholas Wujciak, Kile Wujciak, David Vermeulen, Renee Vermeulen, Sunny Patterson, Sonya Nickol, Danny Durrum, Diana Farr, Shawn Farr and Jaclynn Lavin; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne. Face coverings must be worn inside the funeral home and NYS capacity guidelines will be followed.
Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at the funeral home.
