At first he work in the field as an electrician (member IBEW 102) and then was brought into the office management by the owner Peter V. Cheche Sr.. The entire family created beautiful memories on the boat Marty purchased in remembrance of his own dad. The home Marty and Joan built when they retired hosted many vacations and long weekends for friends and family. Marty taught the grandkids to waterski and fish although not much was ever caught. These times were the most precious to Marty watching his grandchildren grow up to become young adults.
