Richard Traeger, 82, passed away Friday morning, December 16, 2022, at Schuyler Ridge Residential Healthcare, Clifton Park.
Born on February 8, 1940, in Albany, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mildred (Schwind) Traeger. He served in the United States Air Force.
Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Richard was employed as a gas mechanic for Niagara Mohawk Power Company for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and was a longtime member of the Hadley Hunting Club.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Edwin Traeger.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judith Traeger; their children: Terri (Michael) Bernhardt of Glenville, Deborah (Kevin Casey) Mangione of Colonie, Bruce (Suzanne) Traeger of Colonie; grandchildren: Nicholas Mangione, Kaile Braman, Brenden Tardiff, Shannon Cieszynski, Anthony Panza: great grandchildren: Liam Braman, Lainey Braman, Jaxon Cieszynski, Mila Cieszynski and Violet Panza; one nephew, Gary (Paula) Traeger of Clifton Park.
There are no calling hours scheduled.
Burial with military honors will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
