Regina L. “Sissy” Ellis, a lifelong resident of Hadley passed away Monday evening, November 11, 2024, at Glens Falls Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

Regina was born on August 10, 1951, in Glens Falls to Elinor Hughes.  She was a graduate of Hadley Luzerne Central School and Albany Business College.

She married Meredith Ellis on June 17, 1972, at Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church.

Regina worked as a legal secretary for Warren County Family Court for over 32 years, retiring in 2016.She was a member of the Legal Secretary Association and had enjoyed several outings and trips with her colleagues.

She enjoyed bowling, traveling to Myrtle Beach and Maine with family and assisting with races that her husband participated in.

She was predeceased by her mother and a sister, Marcia Thomas.

Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Meredith Ellis; siblings: Donna DeRosier of Hadley, Ruth Allen of Johnstown, and Randy Thomas of California; several nieces and nephews: Ciara Curley, her partner, Devon Bovee, Tonya Bover, Kacey Allen, Jacob DeRosier, his wife, Bethany, Dylan Allen, Austin Bover, Sean Finnegan, Jan Allen, Wade Thomas and Joey Bovee. Other special family members:  Renee Hayes and her husband, Donald and Ann Nelson and her husband David loved Sissy unconditionally.

Friends may call Friday, November 15, 2024, from 3-6 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.

Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at the funeral home.
