Phillip "Andre" Marcotte

Don't know that I ever knew a finer man whose character was as true as the Adirondacks he so loved. Can't think of a time that I was in Corinth that I didnt seek him out...especially when I needed a tow out of the woods. Which if truth be known was often. He'd come barreling down the road and give me that stare. You know the one! When I began helping my father and net Andre. It was the expected coolness. I was an outsider. Over the years Id like to think that changed to acceptance then friendship and ultimately brotherhood. A proud man who dId not suffer fools gladly. He called them like he saw them. The many conversations and walks thru the woods I replay like a favorite movie. He knew I was not a hunter and he accepted that. Many times when talking stories down in the yard he'd remind me, "We all start out with good intentions." He always surprised me that way with his kindness and tolerance of human nature. When he would call me and ask if "We" had this or that I took it with pride that he accepted me into his band of brothers. I guess the seminal moment for me was when Brian passed and I saw how he handled the loss and heartbreak. Unthinkable sadness. I was working with Brian and Andre a few days prior to the accident. When he began the me moral picnic it was in Brian's honor and it grew and grew as love grows and blossoms. I am sorry that I couldn't have spared Andre the pain and suffering he went thru. He earned his wings as did his beloved Dawn and family. He loved his grandchilden so very much. Know that Andre was an unforgetable man. He'd be the first to chastise any praise. Humbly I ask for his soul to be at peace and help his loved ones go on and take his legend further. God bless you Andre and may your spirit guide as did your life make ours happier. ♡ Chris Papa

My condolences to Dawn and all of Andres family. Andre was a pure soul that always put family first. I am lucky to have had him in my life growing up. Andre will always be a brother to me. Fly high Andre. 🙏
