Peter P. Boniewicz, 88, formerly of Deer Trail Rd., passed away peacefully Friday evening, October 18, 2024, at Elderwood, North Creek, NY.
Born on April 12, 1936 in Throop, PA, he was the son of the late Cecelia (Black) and Peter P. Boniewicz, Sr.. He served in the United States Army as an anti-aircraft radar operator from 1955 to 1957.
Peter worked as a lineman for Connecticut Light and Power in Cheshire, CT for many years prior to his retirement. He moved to Indian Lake in the early 2000’s. He enjoyed being a part of the Indian Lake community and enjoyed the time he spent at the Indian Lake Public Library.
He enjoyed snowshoeing, roller skating, hiking, hunting, riding his Harley, cooking, fishing with his daughter Cis, and was an avid reader. He will be remembered for his ever-present railroad cap.
He was predeceased by his parents; siblings: Billy and Albert Boniewicz and his wives, Marlene Chambers and Penny Boniewicz.
Survivors include his daughters: Karen (Ray) Torres of Mirror Lake, NH, Susan (Doug Mitchell) Fowler of Southington, CT, and Cecelia Boniewicz of Torrington, CT; grandchildren: Elizabeth (Chris) Gray, Jack Szabo, Katie (Ryan) Blake, and Jessica Torres; great grandchildren: Darcy Blake and Charlotte Gray; brothers: John Boniewicz and George Boniewicz.
