Norma C. Whitney, 89, of Marion Ave., passed away Tuesday morning, May 5, 2020 at Fort Hudson Nursing Center.

Born on September 7, 1930 in Pawlet, VT, she was the daughter of the late Clayton A. and Jessie L. (Corey) Ballard.  She was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School.

She married the love of her life, Arthur E. “Bud” Whitney on March 11, 1951 at the Church of the Messiah in Glens Falls.  Bud passed away on October 6, 2012 following 61 years of marriage.

Norma enjoyed bowling and had belonged to several area leagues.  She also enjoyed playing golf and being an active member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Lake Luzerne.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and a sister, Dorothy Underwood.

Survivors include her sons: Arthur E. (Linda) Whitney, Jr. of Hadley, Marc (Collette) Whitney of Hadley; seven grandchildren: Samantha, Joshua, Courtenay (Spencer), Jesse, Kayla, Amanda (Bobby), and Tyler(Heather); eight great granddaughters and one great grandson; a sister, Mabel Clear; several nieces and nephews.

Due to the health crisis, there are no calling hours scheduled.

A Memorial Mass will be conducted at a later date and time to be announced at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Lake Luzerne.
