Nancy Watts

Nancy K. Watts, 82, of Corinth, New York passed away peacefully on September 18, 2023. Born on March 25, 1941, in Corinth, New York, Nancy was the daughter of Sarah Bolton Kingsley and Horace “Buzz” Kingsley.  She was a graduate of Corinth High School and received degrees in Education from SUNY Plattsburgh and Russell Sage College.  While attending school in Plattsburgh, she met and later married Peter, her husband of 61 years.  Nancy and Peter taught together at Corinth Central Schools for 34 years and had many fond memories of colleagues and students.

Nancy is the beloved mother of two daughters, Kristi Warters (Rick) of Simsbury, Connecticut, and Kathi Branchcomb (Phillip) of Corinth, New York, and is the dear “Nana” to six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  They will remember her for her big hugs and even bigger heart, her ability to make everyone feel special, her sweet tooth and never-ending supply of shared treats.

Survivors include her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Nancy is predeceased by her husband Peter and her sister Ruth Kingsley.

A funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Lake Luzerne, New York on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 11 a.m.  There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations in Nancy’s name be made to a place that she held dear:  St. Mary’s Church, P.O. Box 211, Lake Luzerne, NY 12846.
