Nancy J. Martel, 63, of North Shore Rd., passed away Tuesday evening, December 3, 2024, at her home.

She was born on July 3, 1961, in Brooklyn.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from SUNY Brockport. 

Nancy made her career in banking, working as an Executive Vice President for North Fork Bank in Mattituck, NY.  She retired in 2019.  She made Hadley her home in October of 2020.

She loved the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, gardening, and traveling. In the winter months, she enjoyed playing video games, and creating videos of her families and friends.  Above all, she enjoyed being with her family.

She was predeceased by her mother Marilyn Martel and a brother, Roger Martel.

Survivors include her wife and life partner of 34 years, Ann Marie Smith; 2 daughters: Courtney Martel of Gansevoort and Zoey Smith of Los Angeles, CA; brothers: Ricky (Debbie) Martel and Ronald (Pam) Martel all of Hampton Bays, NY.; 1 niece and five nephews.

Friends may call Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
