Michelle M. Chenier-Seymour, 58, of Big Brook Road, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born on January 6, 1960 in Ballston Spa, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Joan (Campney) Petty. She was a graduate of Indian Lake Central School and had attended Adirondack Community College.

Shelly was employed as a Direct Support Assistant for Sunmount DDSO out of the Route 30, Indian Lake home.

Her enjoyments included cooking, baking, canning, crocheting, feeding the deer and birds. Most important to Shelly, was spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Atwell; her children, Donald (Valarie) Chenier of Spring Lake, NC, Robert (Teena) Chenier of Putnam Station, Anna (Rusty) Williams of Indian Lake and David (Bailey) Chenier of Indian Lake; six grandchildren, Adrianna Chenier, Rorian Chenier, Dalton Chenier, Corbin Chenier, Nala Preston and Natalie-Ann Chenier; step grandchildren, Brittney and Vanessa Williams and Kelsie Kohan; two brothers, Norman Petty and Charles Petty both of Indian Lake; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Monday from 3-4 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 6357 NYS Rte. 30, Indian Lake.

A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Thompson, officiating.
