MaryAnn passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 14, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents John Briner, Jr and Mary Helen Smead.
She is survived by her husband Warren F. Law; children: Theresa (Patrick) Farrell, Warren J. (Kirsten) Law, Kendra Law (David Snelling), Jason Law (Emer Geraghty); her grandchildren: Jacob (Lauren) Law, Jonathan Law (Courtney Barker), Ethan Law, McKenna (Tristan) Dupuis, Justin Law, Nicholas Farrell, Jenna Farrell; great-grandchildren: Katie Law and Adalynn Dupuis and sisters Margery Briner and Margaret Burke.
MaryAnn attended a one room schoolhouse in Stony Creek, NY through 8th grade. She graduated from Hadley Luzerne High School in 1963 and was presented the Hadley Luzerne Lions Club award for creating the student library.
MaryAnn married the love of her life in 1964 and moved to Knowelhurst, Stony Creek and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July 2024.
After her children entered the Hadley-Luzerne school district, MaryAnn worked for Metropolitan Insurance Company. She was a proud American who fulfilled her civic duty by serving as Stony Creek Town Clerk, Town Councilman, and was the Committee Woman for the Warren County Republican Party. MaryAnn was an avid reader and golfer, who loved spending time with her family and the occasional Grey Goose Martini. Friends may call from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Knowelhurst Cemetery, Stony Creek.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, or any Veterans Organization.
