Marie Denegar Labes passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the age of 60. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 26 years, William Labes, her treasured collie kids Murphy and Molly, loving sister Diane Denegar and mother, Irene Yandola. Marie was predeceased by her devoted father, Roger Denegar.

Marie was a New Jersey native who relocated many years ago with her husband Bill to become  residents of Long Lake, NY, making the wish to reside in their beloved Adirondacks a reality. Prior to that move, Marie had a career as an administrative assistant in various real estate law firms in NYC. 

Marie had many hobbies and passions. She was a spectacular cook, always willing to take on any culinary challenges. Marie took great pride in watching her husband Bill create beautiful gardens and landscaping their property every year. She loved books and movies. Marie never tired of exploring the Adirondacks with Bill, Murphy and Molly. One of her greatest joys was preparing for the return of her beloved hummingbirds every spring. 

Marie will always be remembered for the deep passion she had for nature and the environment. She was a loyal friend who will be missed by many. 

Friends may call Friday from 2-3 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 6357 NYS Rte. 30, Indian Lake.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Philip Allen, pastor of St. Mary’s Church, officiating.
