Indian Lake

Marian R. Ameden, 79, of Big Brook Rd., passed away Monday evening, November 25, 2024, at Glens Falls Hospital with her loving children at her side.

She was born on April 12, 1945, in Ipswich, England to Walter and Anne Staff.  She met her future husband, Donald Ameden, while he was stationed in England.  They married on July 7, 1973, in Woodbridge, England.  They moved to Indian Lake in 1978. Donald passed away on December 17, 2015.

Marian worked as a secretary for Indian Lake Central School for over 30 years.

She enjoyed playing games on her iPad, crossword puzzles, and her dog Roxie.  Above all, Marian loved her family.  She cherished the time she spent with each of them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 42 years, Donald Ameden; siblings: June Cook and Barry Staff.

Survivors include her children: Leona (Brian) King, Paul (Kelly) Ameden, David (Kim) Ameden, all of Indian Lake; grandchildren: Meghan (Mike) Ameden, Eric Ameden, Philip West, Courtney (Connor) Campito, Katelyn (Adam) Randall, Kristy King, Joshua (Emma) King, Rebecca (Brandon) Irwin; great grandchildren: Landon, Peyton, Ava, Jillian, Rowen, Charli, Kye and soon to join the family, Bridget; a sister, Pamela Payne; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Miller Funeral Home, 6357 State Route 30, Indian Lake.

Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 1 p.m..

Private burial will be in Cedar River Cemetery, Indian Lake.
