Lorraine E. "Lori" Pruden, 88, of Merrill Lane, passed away Friday morning, February 9, 2018 at Elderwood Nursing Home at North Creek.

Born on September 5, 1929 in New York City, she was the adopted daughter of the late Fred and Karoline (Koernig) Tiedt. She was a graduate of Queen of the Rosary Academy in Amityville, NY.

She married Edward Pruden on October 8, 1949 in Amityville. He passed away on August 11, 2003. She was employed by Nassau County Department of Health in Minneola prior to her retirement in 1985. As part time residents of Indian Lake since the early 60's, she and Ed moved to be full time residents of Indian Lake on April 6, 1986, two days after Ed's retirement. She enjoyed working at the Adirondack Museum for several years.

She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.

Lori enjoyed boating, skiing, winter sports, and reading. Above all, Lori enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; one son, Lawrence Pruden; two daughters, Margaret Ann O'Hagan and Carolyn Marie Sprawka; her brother, Robert Tiedt; and two sisters, Mary Ann Garner and Fernanda Morris.

Survivors include two sons; Edward (Erin) Pruden of Indian Lake, Erik (Christine) Pruden of Ashburn, VA; one daughter, Elisa (Kenny Johnson) Pruden of Schenectady; nine grandchildren, Kerri, Brian, and Erin O'Hagan; Stefan, Tara and Kyle Sprawka, Christopher, Jonathan and Katie Pruden as well as seven great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Lori's wishes, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled. Lorraine will be buried at Cedar River Cemetery in Indian Lake on a date to be determined later.
