Lake Luzerne
With saddened hearts, we announce our sister, mother, and grandmother Lori J. Sanders, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Glens Falls Hospital with family members by her side. Her passing was the result of an allergic reaction to a bee sting. She was 69 years old.
She was born on August 26, 1955, in Corinth. She was a graduate of Hadley Luzerne Central School.
Lori was employed for over 37 years by NY State where she worked at Mt. McGregor Correctional Facility and later at the office for the Aging. She retired on January 27, 2016.
Lori loved spending time camping, shopping, playing pool, listening to music, and hanging out with her close-knit group of friends.
She was predeceased by her mother, Barbara Dingman; her father, Loren Dingman; son, Cole Sumner; brother: James Dingman (Richards); and her grandmother Frances “Stub” Croissant (Ellis).
She is survived by her daughter, Dana (Apostolos “Paul” Bouzas) Sanders of Port Orange, FL; three sisters: Jody Dingman of Hudson Falls, Tammy Dingman of Southern NY, and Tina Kays of Glens Falls; four grandchildren: Alexios Bouzas, Ioannis Bouzas, Kendra Sumner and Cameron Sumner; one uncle: Bruce Croissant; several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Friends may call Monday, September 30, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at the funeral home.
