Lisa L. Hurd

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lisa L. Hurd, who left us peacefully at Glens Falls Hospital on April 6, 2025, at the age of 53.

Born on October 18th, 1971 to Jim and Betty Garrison in Ticonderoga, New York, Lisa was a vibrant spirit with an adventurous soul, always ready to explore the dirt roads and picturesque landscapes of the Adirondacks in her cherished Jeep with her daughters. Lisa married Michael R. Hurd on December 3, 1994, sharing over 30 loving years together.

A passionate animal lover, Lisa dedicated her free time to volunteering at local shelters and fostering abused and unloved animals. Her home became a haven for many, as countless fosters ultimately became beloved members of the family.

Beyond her love for animals, Lisa enjoyed a variety of hobbies. Whether playing or spending time with her daughters, reading, crocheting, gardening, or indulging in her passion for classic films, she embraced life with creativity and enthusiasm.

Lisa is predeceased by her beloved uncle Terry Ross, as well as aunts Patsy (Ross) Dever and Sandra (Ross) Spaulding, and her brother-in-law Douglas C. Hurd.

She is survived by her devoted husband Mike, her two daughters, Racheal and Morgan Garrison of Fort Edward, NY, her parents Jim and Betty Garrison of Ticonderoga, NY, her cherished sister Lynn Garrison of Ticonderoga, NY, her sisters-in-law Paulette L. Colson of Porters Corners, NY, and Janis M. Raylinsky (Ron) of Ballston Spa, NY, along with several loving cousins.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 5 to 6 PM on Tuesday, April 15th, at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne, with services to follow immediately at 6 PM.
