Halfmoon
Lisa Biittig, 64, died Saturday afternoon, September 17, 2022, at Saratoga Hospital with her family at her side.
Born on April 11, 1958, in Gloversville, she was the daughter of the late Irwin and Eleanor (Ruggerio) King. She was a 1976 graduate of Long Lake Central School and earned an associate degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management-Culinary Arts from SUNY Schenectady.
She worked for 28 years as a claims processor for GHI in Albany prior to her retirement in 2019.
Lisa was an avid reader, she enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and above all, spending time with her grandchildren. Lisa’s smile and laugh were contagious. Her fiery spirit would light up a room.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Robert Biittig.
Survivors include her son, Jeromy (Tania) Morrissey of Halfmoon; a brother Kyle (Laurel) King of Ballston Spa; her beloved grandchildren: Delilah and Dylan Morrissey; nephews Matthew and Theodore King as well as several cousins.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, September 23, 2022, at 12 noon, at Long Lake Cemetery, Long Lake.
