Born on November 9, 1930 in East Orange, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Garfield and Minnie (Eggleston) Whible.

She married Jack Herb on September 19, 1987 in front of the Conklingville Community Church.

Although she worked as a bookkeeper for many years, she ended her career as a home health aide for Adirondack Home Health Aides in Queensbury until her retirement in 1992.

Lewellan enjoyed country music, cooking, baking, ironing and sewing. She was a past member of the William J. Varney American Legion Auxiliary, Post 862 in Lake Luzerne.

She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, George E. Jenkins, a brother, Richard Whible, who was killed in action during the Korean War and a sister Beatrice Kaufman of Hazelton, PA.

Survivors include her loving husband, Jack Herb, her children Brian Jenkins, Crystal Jenkins Miner, Janet Ives, Colin Jenkins and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank, first and foremost, Nikki Allen and Tammy Miner for their loving care of Lewellan in the months prior to her passing. We would also like to thank Dr. Marena Euashachai, Amy Johnson and Linda Bell of Evergreen Health Center and the staff at Brookdale Queensbury for their care during her stay with them.
