Krista F. Lapoint

Krista Faith Lapoint, 46, of Albany, passed away on July 22, 2025, after a long journey with medical challenges.  

Born on October 3, 1978 in Laconia, NH, Krista faced life with quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering faith.

Despite her health struggles, Krista's life was defined by her selfless care for others.  She was a devoted friend and encourager, always reaching out to support those around her.  She found joy and purpose in creating handmade crafts and often gifted them as meaningful token of love.  A woman of deep faith, Krista's testimony and kindness led many of her close friends to discover a relationship with Jesus.

She is survived by her beloved only child, Scarlet Lapoint of Syracuse; siblings: Clayton Jeffery (Greg) of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Daniel Jeffery (Nicole) of Glens Falls, Stephanie Petti of Nacogdoches, TX, Lynn Hayes of Ballston Spa and Bard Jeffery (Joanne) of Fulton; her stepfather, (R) Major James Sproul (Ruth) of Maine; step-siblings: James Sproul (Laurie) of Washington, Becki Sproul Dina of Ohio. She is also remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Krista was preceded in death by her loving parents Capt. Donald A. Jeffery and Major Sandra Jeffery Sproul, both of whom served faithfully in the Salvation Army and an aunt, Marylou Tapley.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at the Salvation Army, 72 W. 2nd St. Oswego, NY 13126 on September 13, 2025 at 2 p.m..  Interment will take place in Houlton, ME on October 4.

Krista's legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the faith she shared, and the love she gave so freely.
