Indian Lake
Kenneth L. Locke, 74, of Route 30, passed away Thursday evening, September 19, 2024, at the Albany VA Hospital.
Born on September 13, 1950, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Francis and Cora (Campney) Locke. He was a graduate of Indian Lake Central School. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 device, Combat Infantry Badge, one Overseas Bar, Expert Badge rifles M!4 and M16.
He married Jane Mahoney on March 17, 1979, in Indian Lake. Jane passed away on October 26, 2023 following 44 years of marriage.
Ken was an active member of the Parker Benton American Legion Post 1392 and had been a dedicated driver for the Indian Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
He enjoyed golf, bowling, country music and his morning coffee. His great grandchildren, Delilah and Jackson, were his pride and joy.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Jane Locke; brothers: George Locke and Peter Locke.
Survivors include his daughters: Sarah Dumond of Indian Lake, Amanda Boyer of Hudson Falls, Laura Mahoney of Glens Falls; in-laws, Debra Locke of Fort Edward, Patricia Mahoney and Cathy Bennett, both of Indian Lake, MaryAnn (Herbie) Frank of Mayfield, B.J. (Louise) Mahoney, Jim Mahoney, Mike Mahoney; grandchildren: Erica Aldrich, Shane Dumond, Shianne Boyer, Seairra Boyer, Dylan Locke, Kenneth Clawson; great grandchildren: Jackson and Delilah Aldrich, and Kenny Clawson; several very dear nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday September 26, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at Miller Funeral Home, 6357 State Rte. 30, Indian Lake.
Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at the funeral home at 12 Noon.
Burial with military honors will be at Cedar River Cemetery, Indian Lake.
