Stony Creek
Kennard W. Raisner passed peacefully into the hands of his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday morning, December 11, 2024, at the Pines of Glens Falls. He fought the effect of serious health issues for the past 10 year, supported by his faith in God.
Kennard loved Stony Creek for its quiet and serene beauty. Prior to moving to Stony Creek, he lived on Friends Lake in Chestertown for many years. He really enjoyed fishing on the lake, spending time with his beloved wife Adeline on the beach or just sitting with her on the porch (of course always with the company of our beloved dogs). Walking in the woods with Adeline and one of our dogs was Kennard’s favorite things to do.
The Adirondacks provided him with the hiking that he loved and the nature watching he enjoyed with Adeline.
Prior to the Adirondacks, Kennard was a key member of a team that developed targeting systems for the US Army attack helicopters. He was very proud of his 37 years of civilian Army service.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Adeline on January 26, 2022.
Survivors include his son, Kenneth W. Raisner; stepson Robert Liccketto and his wife, Kim; stepdaughter, Denise Liccketto and her daughters Ariel and Celina.
In keeping with Kennard’s wishes there are no calling hours scheduled.
Private graveside services will be held in the spring in Glassbrook Cemetery, Stony Creek.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kennard’s name may be directed to the Stony Creek Community Church, 687 Harrisburg Rd., Stony Creek, NY 12878.
