Stony Creek

Joseph I. Studer, 69, of Harrisburg Rd., passed away Tuesday evening, June 17, 2025 at his home.

Born on November 12, 1955 in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of John P. Studer and the late Gloria (Hammarlund) Studer.  He was a graduate of Arlington High School in Poughkeepsie.

Joe was a professional truck driver, operating J. Studer Trucking and a partner with his brother, Mark, in The Other Brother Reconstruction in Stony Creek.

He had a love of nature, the mountains and farming, all of which he enjoyed sharing his knowledge of with children. His hope was to spark that same respect and awe of the outdoors with the next generation.  He loved sailboating, raising their highland cattle and four wheeling.

He is survived by his father, John Studer of Stony Creek; brothers: John Studer and Mark Studer of Stony Creek; sisters: Carol Ann (Michael) Tomkins of Poughkeepsie and Susan (Glen) Russo of Carmel, NY.
