Joseph R. Scofield, 61, of Scofield Rd., passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023.

Born on August 5, 1961, in Corinth he was the son of the late William and Sandra (Roberts) Scofield. 

Joey was a hard worker who worked various jobs and was most recently employed at the Elms Waterfront Cottages and Lodge.  

He was a simple man who lived a simple life. He enjoyed the outdoors and camping.  Joey had many friends and a lot of stories to tell.  Everyone who Joey knows and would say he had a big, kind heart.  He will be truly missed by many.  

He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters: Sandy and Trenda Scofield and a special nephew, Hunter Scofield.

Survivors include two brothers: Gene Scofield and William (Linda) Scofield all of Lake Luzerne; two sisters: Vicki Chandler and Wanda (James) Derrick all of Hadley; his loving nephews, Casey Hayes of Portland, Oregon, William (Kindra) Scofield of Queensbury and dear nieces, Cassandra (Aaron) Gebo of Lake Luzerne, Lindsey (Bill) Scofield of Hadley, Sage (Rob) Scofield of Lake Luzerne and Rylee Derrick of Hadley; four great nieces, 2 great nephews and an aunt, Barbara Nelson as well as many cousins.

Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
