John P. Studer, Jr., 68, of Harrisburg Rd., passed away November 22, 2205 at his home.
Born on March 28, 1957 in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late John and Gloria (Hammarlund) Studer. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1976 where he had rowed on the crew team.
John worked at IBM in Poughkeepsie and in Raleigh, NC. After IBM John was employed as an electrician, wiring houses.
He enjoyed motorcycles and jet skis. His passion was caring for the animals and his aging parents at the family farm The Lazy J in Stony Creek. John was a friendly guy who enjoyed meeting people who stopped by and giving them a tour of the farm.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Joseph Studer.
Survivors include a brother, Mark (Peggy) Studer, Carol (Michael) Tompkins and Susan (Glen) Russo; a daughter, Fatimia Franklin; nieces and nephews: Lauren and Scott, Justin and Kathleen, Glen Anthony, Elizabeth and Tyler; his Godmother and Aunt, Norma Hammarlund.
Six years ago, John received a kidney transplant. His family would like to give a special thanks to those at the Kidney Foundation, his doctors at Hudson Headwaters, and the emergency techs that attended to him.
