John J. Kearns, 77, of Evergreen Lane, passed away Wednesday evening, July 8, 2026, at the Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on May 8, 1949, in Manhattan he was the son of the late Margaret (Fogarty) Kearns and John Joseph Kearns.
John moved to the area in the late 1980’s. He had been employed in his early career at Macy’s. He had worked for many years at Walmart in Queensbury.
He was an avid NY Jets and NY Mets fan and enjoyed racing season in Saratoga Springs.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Barbara Kearns; and a brother, Jimmy Kearns and father-in-law, Tom Mott.
Survivors include his children: Kristy Kearns of Wilton and John T. (Marina Bennett) Kearns; grandchildren: Weston and Jordynn Kearns; sisters: Eileen Choat and Bernadette Kearns both of Amsterdam; mother-in-law Ruth Mott of Saratoga Springs; several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with John’s wishes, there are no services scheduled.
