Joan A. Woodward, 83, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Saratoga Hospital.
Born on February 17, 1941, in Ticonderoga, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margean Denno of Corinth.
She married Gerald Woodward on July 23, 1960, in Corinth. The couple resided in Hadley for many years.
Joan was a communicant of Holy Mother and Child Parish in Corinth for many years. Joan was employed by New York State at Wilton Developmental Center and later at Saratoga Hospital until her retirement in 2013. She then worked as a caregiver for many years.
Joan loved shopping, garage sales, and going on vacations with her family. She loved vacationing in Florida during the winter months most of all.
Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her son Gary Woodward, and by her siblings: William Denno, Barbara Morris, Mary Brodell and Betty Stanton.
Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Gerald Woodward; one son, Gerry (Lisa) Woodward; two grandchildren: Mikyle and Molly, all of Mayfield. She is also survived by three siblings: Martha (Dick) Maxam, Richard (Melanie) Denno and Shelley (Dan) Games all of Corinth; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
