Joan F. Scott, 91, 0f Gailey Hill Rd., passed away Friday, July 10, 2026, at her home.

Born on February 27, 1935, in Tarrytown, she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. Mulholland, Sr. and Dorothy (Stewart) Mulholland.  She was a graduate of Dobbs Ferry High School, Cochran School of Nursing and Suny Adirondack.

Joan Married Richard Scott on October 20, 1957.

She had been employed as a registered nurse at several general hospitals (one only having 19 beds) and nursing homes as a staff nurse, nursing supervisor and retiring from Wesley Nursing Home as the director of Nurses.

Joan served with distinction as a member of the Hadley Luzerne Lions and Lioness Clubs as the District Governor President, NYS and Bermuda Past District Governor’s Association, Trustee NYS Bermuda Lions Foundations.  She was a communicant, lector, and eucharistic minister of Holy Mother and Child Parish as well as a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, serving as chaplain. Her dynamic personality will be missed by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her parents; stepmother, Alice Davis Mulholland; her husband Richard Scott, Sr.; sons: Daniel J. Scott and Edward J. Scott; siblings: Lois Mulholland Meck, Daniel J. Mulholland, Tyler Mulholland; great-nephew, Cameron Zappolo.

Survivors include her daughter: Cathy Scott Hennes; son, Richard Scott, Jr.; her loving sister in law; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A memorial mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Holy Mother and Child Parish, Corinth.
