Janet Cain Ayers
Born Sayville, NY October 18, 1963
Died Lake Luzerne, NY November 26, 2025
Janet left this earth surrounded by love. She was the daughter of Thomas Cain and Cynthia Snowball.
Janet leaves cherished memories with many family and friends:
Her daughter Natalie Coon Droddy (Conor Droddy), her son Michael Coon, stepdaughters Kaleigh Ayers, Lindsay Ayers and Simone Ayers, Grandchildren Jayla, AJ, Alaina and Mia. She was so proud of them all and loved them to the moon and back; her brother Michael Cain, her rock and nearly constant companion.
Last but not least, her husband David, her Boo. Their love for each other was steadfast and inspiring. Together they shared many adventures and a life built on mutual respect, lots of laughter, and unwavering support. No doubt she will continue to tell him what to do, so he gets it right...
Janet's family and friends take comfort in knowing her light will continue to shine in our memories, and the love she gave so freely will fiercely hold in our hearts. Janet was a selfless wife, mother, sister and friend with the ability to love unconditionally, provide strength, and forgive relentlessly. For three years she courageously battled cancer, unwilling to leave this earth without knowing the people she loved are safe.
Janet always had room in her earth for others. Those who knew her from Stone's Pharmacy became part of her extended family. She was a true friend, caring neighbor whose great strength and compassion touched everyone she came in contact with. Her family and friends will remember her for her gentle spirit, comforting smile, steely will and her ability to make everyone feel special.
Children and animals were drawn to Janet, and she loved them all. Three years ago, she became a wildlife rehabber.
She faced every day of her illness with hope and gratitude posting almost daily Facebook reminders to enjoy life and leave everyone and everything better than you found them.
Calling hours will be held at Brewer Funeral Home, 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne, on Monday December 1st from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
