Helen Elizabeth Horton House Kinney, 98, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at Huntington Living Center, just shy of her 99th birthday.
Born on December 16, 1921 in Elmira, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Alice (Kennedy) Horton. She was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy.
She was a devoted mother and homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, sewing, cooking and gardening.
She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Lawrence N. House; her second husband, Milton Kinney; siblings: Gordon Horton, Clifford Horton, Harold Horton, Shirley Grover, Dora Manwearing, Nancy Landon, Richard Horton; sons: Lawrence House and Robert House.
Survivors include her children: Allen (Ivonne) House of Cooper City, FL, Sharon Clark of Dade City, FL, Charles House of Rochester, Linda Cooper of Homosassa, FL, Leslie (Pat) House of Newfield; a step-daughter, Connie (Lawrence) Ervoy of Homosassa, FL; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted 12 Noon on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1200 Walnut St., Elmira.
