Gloria S. Burdick, 84, of Center St., passed away peacefully at her home Saturday evening, September 23, 2023, following a long illness.

Born on August 17, 1939, in Lake Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Maude (Pike) Stanley.  She was a 1957 graduate of Hadley Luzerne Central School.

Gloria married Clinton S. Springer on August 17, 1958.  Mr. Springer died on May 9, 1969.  She married John K. Burdick on May 14, 1971, in lake Luzerne.  Mr. Burdick died on April 22, 2009.

She was employed as a pharmacy technician at Stone’s Pharmacy in Lake Luzerne for many years.

Gloria enjoyed bowling and had been an active member of several bowling leagues.  She loved to cook, bake, and enjoyed a good book.  She was a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Luzerne where she had served as Sunday School teacher and on the Board of Trustees of the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands and her daughter-in-law, Lori Springer.

Survivors include her son, Roger (Mary Kay) Springer of Saratoga Springs; stepson, Scott Burdick of Burlington, VT; granddaughter, Sierra (Jeremy) Miner of Lake Luzerne; step grandchildren: Allyson, Cory, Daniel, and Nathan; one sister, Barbara (Art) Randall of Corinth; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call Thursday from 10a.m. to 12 noon at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.

Funeral services will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 12 Noon.

Gloria’s family would like to thank the staff of Glens Falls Hospital 4th Floor West, Dr. Hoffman, and Dr. Mihindu.  A very special thank you to Joanne Royal and Gloria’s special niece, Tina DeSantis for the love and support.

Burial will be in Luzerne Cemetery, Lake Luzerne.
