Gerald W. Mathews, 95, of Gailey Hill Rd., passed away Sunday morning, June 21, 2026, at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on September 8, 1930, in Mt. Kisco, he was the son of the late Joseph and Viola Mathews.  He was a graduate of Pleasantville High School. Gerald served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954.  Upon his honorable discharge, he began his employment at NY Telephone in White Plains, NY. 

He married Ella “Betty” Blair in February of 1953 in Pleasantville.  Betty passed away on April 20, 2014, following 61 years of marriage.

Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing and downhill skiing.  He was a life member of the NRA.

Survivors include two daughters, Roxanne Andreassi of Dunedin, FL, Deborah (John) Kissam of LaGrangeville; 5 grandchildren: Jared, Blair, Dillon, Ashley and Courtney; several great grandchildren.
