Gail Eileen Hamelink, 70, of Indian Lake, N.Y. formerly of Brick Township, N.J. passed away on November 29, 2021 with her husband Glenn of 19 years by her side.
Born July 22, 1951 in Hackensack N.J. and she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Mae Halley and John Ernest Lyons. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Scott Allen Lyons, and Glen David Lyons. She is survived by her husband Glenn Martin Hamelink, her daughters Andrea Leigh Cicardo and her fiancée Chris Zarro, Carrie Lynne (Hamelink ) Warr and her husband Chuck, and Kelly Michelle (Hamelink ) Jankowski and her husband Chris , sister Dawn (Lyons) Bowman and her husband David, brother John Ernest Lyons Jr. and his wife Heather and her beloved cousin Karen Rader. She was the loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren.
Gail previously worked for Brick Township in the Town clerk’s office. She also belonged to North Country Crafters. Gail was an avid NASCAR fan and knew every driver and their driving history.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Albany Med Hospital for their passionate care.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday December 2nd from 3pm to 5pm at Miller Funeral Home in Indian Lake, NY The funeral 10 am on Friday December 3rd.
