So sorry to hear about John's passing. He was a tough, stoic, kind-hearted Adirondacker who seemed indestructible for many years. He leaves a great family to remember and appreciate him, and I'm sure many stories about John will be shared around the campfire in his honor! Carol probably kept him going for several years, and I will always remember their wonderful relationship- what a pair!! Please accept my sincere condolences; another Indian Lake legend has gone to his Happy Hunting Grounds!

Thank you Dr. Way.  You also had a GREAT deal to do with keeping him going.  The care you gave him was exceptional!  I especially remember Christmas Eve when we arrived at GF Hospital ER when he had lost the sight in one eye.  He was very anxious at the time, and when he saw you, he immediately felt much more relaxed and safe.

I have lot of memories of Cousin John over the years.  We spent a lot of time in the fire dept. as fireman and on the race team.  Spent time fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling with John and had a lot of laughs.  Worked with John at DEC and we spent a lot of time cutting hazard trees on the campgrounds.  When I became the shop supervisor, John was the shop carpenter and was extremely talented at it.

I had a lot of good times with cousin John over the years.  Field days with the fire dept,. fishing trips, hunting trips, and snowmobiling rides.  We worked together at DEC and when I became the shop supervisor, John's woodworking talents where a great asset to the shop.  We had a lot of laughs over the years.

I have a lot of good memories of  Cousin John over the years.  We both belonged to the fire dept. and belonged to the race team.  Have some good memories of fishing, hunting, and riding snowmobile with John.  We both worked for DEC and worked a long time with John on both the campgrounds and with Operations out of the DEC shop.  He was the shop carpenter when I was the shop supervisor and he was extremely talented at wood work.
