Franklin W. Manney, 78, of Cottrell Rd., passed away Saturday afternoon, August 19, 2023, at his home.

Born on January 19, 1945, in Hanover, NH, he was the son of the late Stanley and Margaret (Sweet) Manney.

He married Susan A. Graham on September 28, 1963, at the Durkeetown Baptist Church.  Sue passed away on October 21, 2016. 

Frank worked various farm jobs and at the Hudson Pulp Paper Mill.  He then began a 42-year career at the Fort Miller Service Corporation, retiring in 2010 as team leader.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and going for rides throughout the countryside.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife Susan Manney and siblings: Stanley Manney, Jr., Howard Manney, Harold Manney, John Manney, Leona Perry and Ann Becker.

He is survived by his children: Sueann (Jim) Adams of Argyle, Marlene (Will) Ash of Bacon Hill, Darlene (Mike) Manney of Corinth, Randy (Courtney) Manney of Alabama, Steven (Robin) Manney of Argyle, Keith (Stacie) Manney of Argyle; his sister-in-law, Debbie Manney of Greenwich; one brother, Stephen (Shari) Manney of Greenwich; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday, August 23, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at the Argyle Presbyterian Church, 48 Main St., Argyle.

Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at the church at 12 Noon.

Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Argyle.
