Foster N. Allen

Foster N. Allen, of Hollow Road, passed away Friday morning September 11, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 17, 1935 in the town of Day he was the son of the late Avery and Bertha (Kathan) Allen.

Foster worked for the Town of Day Highway Department for over 30 years prior to his retirement in 1996.

He married June Allen on January 2, 1957 in Lake Luzerne.  June passed away on December 15, 2011 following nearly 55 years of marriage.

Foster enjoyed hunting, socializing, singing, dancing and spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife; siblings: Claude Allen, Vernison “Red” Allen, Herbert Allen, and Lawrence Allen.

Survivors include his children: Phyllis (Andrew) McDonald of Day, Laura (Forest) Allen of Day and Leslie (Kathy) Allen of Day; siblings: Irma Allen and Alma Allen, both of Day, David Allen of Corinth; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with Foster’s wishes there were no calling hours scheduled.

Graveside services will be10 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2020 in Conklingville Cemetery, Day.
