Eileen A. Clute

Lake Luzerne

Eileen A. Clute, 87, of Lake Tour Rd., passed away Monday afternoon, April 1, 2024, at the Warren Center.

Born on May 4, 1936, in Hadley, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Frances (Wood) Saheim.  She was a graduate of Hadley Luzerne Central School.

On September 13, 1953, Eileen married Harold J. Clute, Jr. in Lake Luzerne.  They were happily married for 63 years when Junior passed away on March 27, 2017.

Eileen was employed at the Town of Lake Luzerne as secretary to the Supervisor for many years prior to her retirement in 2004.

She enjoyed baking and was well known in the area for her apple cake.  She enjoyed sewing and crafts.  She made countless quilts that she donated to shelters.  She was an avid New York Yankee fan.

She is survived by her children: Deborah (Gary) Masner of Magnolia, DE, Daniel (Jamie) Clute, Sr. of Lake Luzerne, Denise (Jim) Bradshaw of Rotterdam; her grandchildren: Megan (Keith) Clark, Dilan Masner, Edward (Jenny) Johnson, Brittany (Matt) Zalewski, Danny (Jamie) Clute, Jr.; great grandchildren: Alex, Ashton, Emmett, Evan, Christopher, Everette, Garrett; a brother, Roger (Lettie) Saheim; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
