Douglas R. Tennant, 73, of Hollow Rd., passed away Saturday morning, April 12, 2025 at Saratoga Hospital.
Born on April 26, 1951 in Gloversville, he was the son of the late Raymond and Lucretia (Allen) Tennant. He was a 1969 graduate of Hadley Luzerne Central School.
Doug married Brenda Allen on March 6, 1971 in Lake Luzerne.
He worked for over 35 years as a truck driver for the Town of Day Highway Department.
Doug enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing in his early years and more recently, riding his tractor and tending to his lawn. He enjoyed watching the news and keeping up to date on current events. He loved spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Donald Tennant.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 54 years, Brenda Tennant; one daughter, Marcia (Jay Horning) Allen of Hadley; one son, Douglas (Gina Belak) Tennant of Malta; one brother, Fred (Joan) Tennant of Lake Luzerne; a sister-in-law, Gail Tennant of Corinth; five grandchildren: Katie Tennant, Matthew Tennant, Nicole (David) Martin, Josie Allen, Amber Allen; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Doug’s wishes were that there would be no services. He will be buried in Conklingville Cemetery, Day.
