North Creek
Donald F. Corie, 83, formerly of East Holcomb St., passed away Saturday afternoon, August 2, 2025.
Born on July 21, 1942, in Stony Creek, he was the son of the late Donald and Norma (Eddy) Corie. Don proudly served in the United States Army from 1967-1973 earning the National Defense Service Medal and the M-14 Sharpshooter Badge.
Upon his honorable discharge from the service, he began a long career with D & H Railroad in Saratoga Springs.
He married Barbara Eldridge on May 1, 1970, in Waterford. Barbara passed away on February 12, 2016, following 45 years of marriage.
Don loved fishing, four wheeling, visiting with family and friends. The simple things in life brought him great joy.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Barbara Corie and siblings: Muriel Lawrence, Anita Lawrence and Norman Lawrence and a grandson, Jay Lawrence.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Debra Corie of Queensbury; grandchildren: Paul (Roseanne) Springer, and Jean (Barrett) Spring; great grandchildren: Evan, Mya and Nora Spring, Freya and Faeryn Springer; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Friends may call Friday, August 8, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Flossie Gage Bates officiating.
Burial will follow in Luzerne Cemetery, Lake Luzerne.
