Hadley
Don Rice Parker, 90, of Hadley passed away Sunday afternoon, January 28, 2024, at the Pines Nursing Home.
He was born on October 15, 1933, in Lake Luzerne to William H. and Blanche (Rice) Parker. He served in the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge, he began a long career at International Paper Company in Corinth.
He enjoyed baseball, especially rooting for the NY Mets. He loved his cat, “Trouble”. Don was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Luzerne and cherished the time spent with his church family.
He was predeceased by his parents and his second wife, Marion “Pat” Parker.
Survivors include his children: William (Tae) Parker, John Parker and Karen Parker; grandchildren: Teresa (Alex) Rockwell and Natasha Parker; a sister, Ruth O’Hare and her children: Tom (Michelle), Richard (Lora), and Lynn (Art) VanBuren and their children.
Private graveside services will be conducted at a future date in Luzerne Cemetery.
