Diane "Dee" L. Seery

Diane L. “Dee” Seery, 72, formerly of Indian Lake, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, October 26, 2025, in Fort Pierce, FL.

Dee was born on May 24, 1953, in Malone.  She was a graduate of Indian Lake Central School.  She worked for many years as the cafeteria manager at the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake and as a housekeeper at the Hedges.

Dee enjoyed the beach, collecting shells, going for a morning swim with friends, cooking, arts and crafts and reading. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family and playing cards with her dear friends.

She was predeceased by her mother, Theresa “Terry” D’Avignon and a sister, Genevieve D’Avignon.

Survivors include her two daughters: Naomi (Wesley) Arsenault of Indian Lake, Mya Seery of Indian Lake; her longtime companion, Michael Sassone of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren: Shane (Katlyn) Shortt, Alexis (Darrell) Hughes, Jazmine Harris, and Izaak Bennett; her lifelong best friend, Eileen Rivette of Indian Lake; the father of her daughters, Dale Seery of Indian Lake.

Friends may call Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 3:00-5:30 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 6357 State Route 30, Indian Lake.  A brief prayer will be offered at 5:30 following the visitation.

Friends and family are invited to gather at the Parker Benton American Legion immediately following the brief prayer.
