Diane J. Waite, 60, of Rockwell St., passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at her home.

Born on January 23, 1960 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Donald and Regina (Bolduc) Gorham.  She was a graduate of Hadley Luzerne Central School.

Diane married Michael L. Waite on February 11, 1978 in Lake Luzerne.

She worked for 20 years as a teacher’s aide at the Hadley Luzerne Central School until her retirement in January of 2015.  She had also been a devoted employee of the Hadley Luzerne Youth Commission as the youth director for many years.

Diane loved camping, cooking, baking, and hanging out by her pool.  Her greatest joy came from being a mother and grandmother.  She was in attendance at every sporting event any of them were participating in, cheering them on.

Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Michael Waite; her sons: David (Carrie) Waite of Caledonia, NY, Greggory (Danielle) Waite of Granby, CT and Devin (Heather) Waite of Hadley; three grandchildren: Ella Waite, Cameron Waite and Brayden Waite; one sister: Lynn (David) Lecoste of Chicopee, MA; one brother, Jeff Gorham of South Hadley, MA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Thursday from 10a.m. to 12 noon at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.  Face coverings must be worn while in the funeral home and NYS capacity guidelines will be followed.
