Hadley
Dale L. Thompson, 74, of Hunt Lake Road North, passed away Thursday morning, November 27, 2025, at Albany Medical Center.
Born on June 28, 1951 in Corinth, he was the son of the late Kenneth “Louie” and Barbara (Rhodes) Thompson. He attended Corinth Schools.
Dale married Gail Weiss on July 31, 1971 in Glens Falls.
He was employed for over 25 years for the Hadley Highway Department retiring as a supervisor. In 2001, Dale and his family moved to North Carolina where Dale worked as a laborer and equipment operator for Johnston County. They moved back to Hadley in 2017.
Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, sitting by the fire, and the mountains. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Lisa Thompson; a sister, Kathy Dake and a brother, Robert Thompson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Gail Thompson; a daughter, Hilary Thompson of Corinth; two grandchildren: Autumn (Kyle Morgan) Moffitt and John (Kaylie Goman) Thompson; foster children: Jean Valliencourt, Cathy Lavagine and Walter Lavagine; siblings: Lynn (Bruce Hutchinson) Thompson of Hudson Falls, Sue Saunders of Stillwater; Rick Thompson of Corinth; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Lynwood Cemetery, Hadley.
