Christopher Earl Strunk was born in New York, to Earl Henry Strunk, an architect and Beth Hardwick Strunk, who worked in medical administration and cancer research. Chris was a son, proud father and brother, a mentor, and loyal friend to many.
His wheels were always spinning. At an early age Chris had a newspaper route, sold socks 'door to door', was a 'Fuller Brush Man' and worked in the local drug store while becoming an Eagle Scout with the Order of the Arrow. He truly lived his life as an Eagle Scout.
Chris was a Vietnam era Air Force veteran and purchased 2 Norton Commando 750cc motorcycles while stationed in England which he later road raced in circuits around Florida, while attending college. He did all his own maintenance, as well as for other motorcycle owners. Once back in NY he worked in his father's architectual office, then stepped into a Construction Supervisory position for the state of NY. Chris eventually gravitated to renovating 2 buildings in NY, primarily to house those less fortunate. Chris married and had a son, Dimitry, the joy of his life.
Chris later concentrated on continuing his Crusade, his true passion, ever tenacious, hard working, investigative, seeking truth and justice, helping and working with those whose paths intersected his. His body of work is enormous and unfinished.
May he cruise on his Norton, while typing away, in 'the next galaxy” as his mother would say. Chris passed away suddenly, too soon and is missed by so many.
In keeping with Christopher's wishes there are no calling hours scheduled.
His burial at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National with military honors will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2022.
